I went to the International Center of Photography Alumni show at Gensler last night, which was a swish swashy affair, with a Stasi-like entrance crew (we got badges), but the work was good and the Prosecco was delish. Here I am, sandwiched between the great Phil Block, Director of Education at ICP, and Nayland Blake, who runs the ICP-Bard MFA Program, and who is a fabulous artist in his own right.
Very Jackanory of me, eh?
Anyhoo, Nayland curated the show with Bernard Yenelouis. Below, some samples.
Matthew Monteith, from Cars
Also in the show: Charles Atherton, Ray Klimek, Catherine Kunkemueller, Tim Lehmacher, Jeff Luckey, Noemi Nin Pfluger, Stuart O’Sullivan, Mauro Restiffe, Ryan Thatcher, and Cory Treadway.
*Ms. Caplan was also a featured as a “gallery girl” in the Times on Sunday. Hilarious.
