The Business of Business Cards

business cards.jpg

The Wall Street Journal has a piece today in Joann S. Lublin's Managing Your Career column about making your business card work for you. The advice: be creative and memorable-- to a point. Lublin quotes Gail Madison, director of a business-etiquette school in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, as saying that your photo does not belong on your card: "I never saw a C-level [executive's] card with a picture."

I'm not sure about that. Maybe a piece of your face belongs on your card. The above business card(s) is one of my favorite ideas. Sort of like the Happy Meal collect 'em all, before they switched over to plastic Bratz dolls. See more rad interpretations here.

Have a cool business card? Send it to me.

UPDATE: Ian sent me his card and says "I signed and numbered it on the back to make it even more ridiculous. People constantly point out that it says Meat, Tit, Dead, Anal, etc on it. It doesn't actually, but apparently they just have a mind for such things. I enjoy it."
