After I took a quick peek inside Angus R. Shamal’s camera bag yesterday, I found a review on Wired of the best photo bags on the market.  They chose two classics and a newcomer: A Billingham, a  Domke, and a Crumpler, respectively. These are all rather handsome, but a bit rich for my tax bracket; I usually head for the second floor at B&H where they somehow have an amazing assortment of slightly irregular bags, all for something like $30. It’s in the same area as the abandoned RZs and Pentax 67s (they sit there, sad on the shelf, waiting for a home).

In any case: the cream of the camera bag crop:

Billingham 550 ($550)

Domke F-2 ($190)

Crumpler: The Whickey and the Cox ($220)
