I've been slowly making my way through the PDN Annual, and this image by Russ Quackenbush caught my eye. It's from a series of portraits focusing on people with Type 1 albinism.
It immediately made me think of these images, by Clayton Cubitt.

I love how the division is so clear in these sets of images produced by the different photographers. Just because it's the same subject doesn't mean that the photographs look exactly alike.......that last sentence was me venting (I feel better).
Indeed, I think they all have a different feel. And I like them all, for the record.

I'm not sure it's something that could be considered an arts trend, but it's certainly interesting to see different people treat the subject. The images are all very beautiful.
I think that portraiture photography in general seeks out more and more obscure subgroups in the quest to bring something new to the medium, though.
Luckily we're creating obscure subgroups all the time, in this society.
