The Gap and The Whitney and Stephanie Seymour
An interesting ad greeted me in my New Yorker this week; GAP has the Whitney’s latest and greatest wrapped in sensible cotton tees. This gives me vague pause; Is this like when BMW sponsored the Guggenheim’s motorcycle show?
Then I moved on to more important issues; like the Stephanie Seymour and Jeff Koons collaboration. I want that shirt. Because it has a deer on it, and I love its antlers.
Barbara Kruger was shy too, but Shalom wouldn’t take off her pants.

What an awesome campaign for the arts! Gap has got some awesome marketing skills…RED for AIDS in Africa…and now a sweet launch of shirts with artists input from the Whitney museum of American Art. I would definetly purchase a shirt from gap. They’re displaying strong marketing/partnership ideas and promoting creativity. Good for them! Companies like Motivators, allow for any individual to make their own shirts…with company names or art. Now thats awesome. Also…where did Stephanie Seymour’s pants go?
