I’ve been chastised in the past for writing too enthusiastically about egg imagery, but by golly, if Jody Quon is going to tempt me like this, there’s nothing I CAN DO.
This image is by Mitchell Feinberg, who does tons of high-end still-life work and splits his time between New York and Paris. Hats off to Feinberg and stylist Sara Jane Crawford; that egg is indeed perfect. And I would like to eat it. Here is a helpful egg-picking guide, lest you think it’s all about the jumbo whites.
Feinberg’s pretty hot with the bacon, too. Though it’s pretty hard to screw bacon up, as we all know.
I’m going to go get something to eat.
