I wouldn't dream of outlawing bullfights (although I might get rid of the maquilladors) but I always root for the bulls. I especially like it when they jump into the stands and lay about with their horns.
M
Respect to both of them!
Notice how the bull decides to spare the bullfighters life. If the bull wanted to, it could easily have gored and trampled the bullfighter to death as he lies there on the ground.
This is a good example of how human brutality and cruelty overshadows anything else found in nature.
Want another example? The crowd joyfully watching this vicious spectacle.
Sorry, but I can't respect a man that cuts off the ears of a bull, no matter how dangerous or skillfull it may be be seen as.
as i understand it the skill of the bullfighter is heavily aided by the slashing of the bulls neck muscles. this can be seen in the way some bulls have real trouble lifting their heads early in the fight.
barbaric.. thank goodness the bull isn't cuddly.. like, say, a brown bear..

Do the bulls get to keep the matador's ears if it wins?
I'm more disgusted with the fans at the stadium cheering on this cruel mutilation of an animal.
J:
It's a little tasteless so I won't post the whole thing, but you might enjoy the joke whose punchline begins "Sometimes, the bull wins."
A quick Google should find it for you. :)
