Union Station Conflagration

No, just kidding, there wasn't a fire. At least not a traditional one; photographers are smoking mad, though, as Washington DC's Union Station is cracking down harshly on shutterbugs for no apparent reason.

Fox News to the rescue!

Seriously, watch the video here. It's pretty amusing to see Fox's own folks told to shut off their cameras, even as the head spokesman for Amtrak is going on the record to say there is no ban on photography in the terminal.

These are dangerous days.

thanks, onlinephotographer.

Said it before, I'll say it again: I'd bet anything that guy lost his job (which I don't know is true.) NOT for being a lying bully, because that's damn near his official job description. No, for being so STUPID as to not see the HUGE HONKIN' ID BADGE the AMTRAK flack is wearing and embarassing him on the evening news. They have no sense of humor about things like that. If he'd just quietly moved on and harassed the next person with a camera, no one would have noticed or cared.
