"airbrushing"...are you serious?!
Same thing as the O.J. Simpson cover years ago. Right?
It probably has to that Obama is the presumptive nominee, and because they will be running looser shot of him at the convention in the next issue, they wanted a close up of him for this issue. If Time has already run photo Obama on a white background, they probably wanted a more different looking cover the second time around
To clarify what I meant in my earlier comment...it is not 1986 and it is unlikely that these images were "airbrushed" as noted in the article.
