It’s Mystery Photo Contest Time!

How many photo contests did you get emailed about today? Some photo contests take themselves a little too seriously. This isn’t one of them.

It’s a big week here in NYC. We’ve got some hot new photography website features coming out Thursday AM. The PhotoPlus Expo is kicking off on Thursday too and Grover’s getting ready for his newest 3-hour talk Extreme Makeover: Photography Websites by practicing his jokes in front of the mirror. And in the spirit of having fun amid all this intense activity, we’ve decided to launch a little photo contest.
 
We’re not so fond of doing things the regular old way, so this contest will have a few fun twists, starting with a chance to win prizes *before* we even start the actual contest!  Huh?  Welcome to our new game, friends: Mystery Photo Contest.                 

How ’bout we try a little Mad Lib?
 
To win big prizes in the “Share a ______ with PhotoShelter Photo Contest” all you’ll have to do is share a photo of ______ with us. It’s that simple. So, what’s the ______? That’s the mystery. We’re not announcing the theme until Friday 10/29 at 12 PM ET, at a little special event in NYC. Before then, be the first to guess the theme and win a free PhotoShelter account.     

How to play…
We’ll be posting clues on Facebook and Twitter up until Friday October 29 at 12 PM ET, when we actually announce the contest theme.  So watch daily for the latest hint.  If you can figure it out, Tweet this line including your guess:

Can’t seem to figure it out? No worries, you can still win the actual photo contest!
On Friday, October 29 we’re hosting a special event in NYC where we’ll reveal the contest theme. After that, the photo contest is on! Submit your photo entry by 5pm (EDT) on Friday November 5 and you could win one of several prizes including a PhotoShelter Pro account. (Let us know if you’ll be in town – we’ll save a spot for you at the event!)
