10 Images Where Hands Make All The Difference

As a photographic element, hands can be one of the most expressive subjects. They’re great at telling a story, they are able to communicate mood, add a bit of drama and can even help direct a viewers eye to what’s most important within the image.

I did a keyword search for “hands” on PhotoShelter, and found 289,681 images. (That’s a lot of hands!) Here are a few of my favorites…

India Pakistan by Ami Vitale.

Baby in a bicycle sling by Steve McCurry.

Two male hands gripping by Paul Foley.

Ancient Hands, Stencil Paintings, Rio Pinturas Canyon by Javier Etcheverry.

Hands tied up with a black ribbon lying in a gray bed by Josefine Jönsson.

Woman’s Weathered Hands, Candidasa, Bali, Indonesia by Paul Souders.

The Hands of Nolan Ryan by Darren Carroll.

X-Ray Hands from Bonne Images.

England – London – Gatwick airport boy and airliner by Richard Baker.

SUFI, THE MYSTICS OF ISLAM by Sergio Ramazzotti.
