If we started digging into your personal New Year’s resolutions, no doubt we’d find a very genuine commitment to growing your photography business. Maybe we can help. Here are a few amazing events we’re supporting that are well worth your time:

Beyond the Classroom: A Photo Student’s Guide to Turning Pro
January 14, 2011

Together with the MAC Group’s very successful MAC-On-Campus program, we’ve kicked off a very special webinar series for photo students, based on the principles shared in our recent article, the Top 11 Things Photographers Wish They Learned In Photo School. This series of co-sponsored webinars will provide emerging student photographers with critical business lessons not necessarily taught in the classroom. The goal is to help photo students learn the fundamentals of building and marketing successful photography businesses. The first session – covering online marketing fundamentals and opportunities – will be January 14, 2011 and will be hosted by PhotoShelter’s own Grover Sanschagrin. Space is limited so sign up now! (Please share with your alma mater too.)

APA Resolve to Connect
January 19, 2011

The American Photographic Artists (APA) and Resource Magazine have partnered to bring you a nationwide networking event with special simultaneous parties going on in every APA chapter city. The goal of these events is to help photographers expand your network and build your own new, stronger, more successful photo production team. APA is facilitating this by bringing everyone together, including photographers, assistants, food, prop, makeup, wardrobe, stylists, producers, digital techs, retouchers and models. Check with your local APA Chapter for specific details or visit APA National for more information.
