1. Get your name out there in your community. Curators and gallery owners often read local and obscure blogs to find undiscovered talent.

3. Make sure your photographs have strong composition, great technique, and “strike a cord.” Online galleries like this.

This means that the gallery you pick should have a strong marketing reach that can expose you to a large network of potential customers.

    Great representation on getting photography work out there. I would strongly suggest Social Media. Back linking is huge when you are featured on blogs.

    I also didn’t realize their were galleries that have relationship with offline spaces. And cross advertising is a great idea.

    This is an excellent article and very helpful. I too would second the comments re: social media/marketing. Tremendous power in it, that even big traditional and old-school corporations such as banks and investment companies are increasingly realizing the importance and tapping into what it can offer.
