It’s time to stop wondering what clients want, and find out the facts from the clients themselves.

Next Tuesday, October 25 @ 4pm EST, PhotoShelter is pleased to host a live interview with Billboard.com‘s Creative Director, Rachel Been. In this feature webinar, Rachel shares her insights into how one of music’s top web publications chooses its photography and hires photographers. Topics include:

  • How Billboard.com hires photographers
  • How Billboard.com licenses photos
  • Email & direct mail promos that get noticed
  • Rachel’s tips for effective photo websites
  • and more!

This for Billboard but I just downloaded and read the PDF on “What Buyers want from Photographers”. Some of these points might be applicable there also.

Great info on the mechanics of submitting to them but by ‘email’ do they mean emails like constant contact or just a plain email with a photo attached?

In searching Google for work what search terms do they use? Yellow flower or coreopsis?

Thanks, pam

Is this going to be recorded and available for on-demand. Don’t think I can make the live one, but I really want to hear what Rachel has to say!

You bet! We’ll post a video version of the webinar. And of course registration is free, so you can always sign up in case your schedule changes and you can listen in live.
