Everybody Street Honors NYC’s Greatest Street Photographers

Noted filmmaker and photographer Cheryl Dunn’s documentary in progress, Everybody Street, pays tribute to New York City’s legendary street photographers. And she’s using Kickstarter to raise financial support for the final phase of the project. This looks like an exceptionally worthwhile project, and Cheryl and her team need more backers to hit their fundraising goal.

Everybody Street will take a very close look at many of the photographers responsible for capturing some of NYC’s most iconic images from the past decades.

Photographer Jamal Shabazz

Shot in 16mm and in HD, with an accompanying score by NYC-based band Endless Boogie, Everybody Street takes you to streets and the studios to see firsthand how today’s street photography innovators uniquely capture the unmatched street scenes of NYC. Interviews with the photographers – many of which have not previously appeared in front of the camera – share the stories of how they built the foundation of a growing movement.

Everybody Street features interviews from street artists including:

Bruce Davidson             Joel Meyerowitz
Mary Ellen Mark           Max Kozloff
Ricky Powell                   Martha Cooper
Jamal Shabazz               Bruce Gilden
Clayton Patterson         Jeff Mermelstein
Rebecca Lepkoff            Boogie
Luc Sante                        Jill Freedman
Josh Wildman

We’re really excited to see the final product. To help fund the final phase of Everybody Street, visit the Everybody Street Kickstarter page for more information on how to lend your support.
