I have talked with a lot of portrait photographers and planing ahead is number one. They all say, "Get to know your subject before shooting."

Great tips! Thanks!

I love the advice and believe a story line is a great way to get everyone on board with a shoot. Im really shocked though that you would post such blown out pics as your wedding photos. I certainly would not hire you if your photos are all blown out and dont show the subject very well. The rest of the photos have great lighting, im wondering why you wouldnt post some better wedding photos that were properly lit????.
