Webinar: Talking Event Photography with FOOD & WINE Magazine

As Art Director for FOOD & WINE, Rory Tischler regularly hires event photographers to shoot the magazine’s many annual festivals and gatherings – including The FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen, the industry’s premier culinary event celebrating its 30th anniversary.

Delivering upwards of 12,000 images per event is no joke, so Rory has figured out what kind of photographer it takes to get the job done. After seven years of coordinating events, Rory knows to hire photographers who are self-motivated, independent, and have a go-get-’em attitude. Sound like you?

Our live webinar will take place this Wednesday, February 22th, at 4pm ET. Registration is free, but space is limited – so reserve your spot today. Register Here.

Overview of the FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen

In this live webinar, you can expect Rory to give us his insights on:

  • What he expects from photographers before, during, and after events.
  • How photographers can distinguish themselves.
  • Plus ways to get repeat business from a high-end magazine that also runs major events.

Ugh! I missed this…totally didn’t realize it was on EST (I’m on PST). So bummed. Will you be reairing this webinar?

Lauren Margolis 2-22-2012

Yes we’ll be posting a video recording of the webinar on the blog soon.

Hi: Great webinar. I’m sure many of us feel that we’d be a perfect fit as a shooter for a Food & Wine event. That said, how/where do we email Rory with image links? In the presentation he implied that he will take a quick look at links, versus viewing hard copy books snail mailed to him. All of my usual methods for finding a his email have failed. Hellllp!

@chris Sorry, research is part of the gig!
