London Event: What Photo Buyers Want from Photographers

One of our top goals at PhotoShelter is to provide photographers with the information and insights they need to successfully communicate with photo buyers, so that they can grow their photography businesses and get hired.

So we’re excited to announce that we’re teaming up with IdeasTap and Blurb in London this May for an exciting panel discussion on “What Photo Buyers Want from Photographers”. The event is free and takes place in London on May 17, 2012.

With large communication gaps between photographers and their commercial and editorial clients, we will break down these barriers to provide photographers with tips and insights straight from the source to help grow their business better than ever before. Specific tpoics will include:

  • The best way a photographer can promote their work to a buyer.
  • What makes a great website.
  • The personal characteristics of photographers that buyers seek.
  • And much more!

PhotoShelter’s Allen Murabayashi and Blurb’s Rachel Stanley will speak on additional ways to improve your business. The panel will also include speakers from GQ, Q Magazine, and more.

Join us for a drink and a panel discussion on May 17th from 6.00-8.30-pm at IdeasTap’s headquarters in London. The event is free and open to the public. These sessions are very popular and get booked up quickly, so don’t delay in signing up for your free ticket.

IdeasTap is a not-for-profit organisation that funds, connects and nurtures new creative talent. It was launched in December 2008 as the arts platform of The Peter De Haan Charitable Trust.

Blurb is a company and a community that believes passionately in the joy of books – reading them, making them, sharing them, and selling them. CEO & Founder Eileen Gittins will also be speaking at Luminance – PhotoShelter’s photography conference this fall.
