I love photography because it's a major component in my master plan to meet and connect with as many humans on this planet as possible. As I explore our planet, I'm captivated by the beautiful, interesting faces that I see. The eyes! The wrinkles! The expressions of wonder on young faces! Everyone has a story to share and requesting an opportunity to snap a photo of a stranger is a question that opens up the potential to hear that story. I love photography because I'm able to capture images of these unique creatures I meet, these tender and vibrant spirits whose experiences inform my own existence, my own purpose. I love photography because once I've snapped a photo or two or three of that person, doing what they do, wearing they expression that they wear, there's no chance I'll ever forget what I learned from our encounter.

The reason why I love photography is because I truly believe that a photo is worth a thousand words. Before I picked my first camera, I couldn't "see" the "words" in a photo. I couldn't see the depth of field, the color contrast, the hard work and man hours it took to create the photo.

As an audience I was naive to these things, but when I started shooting photos and creating my own composition, I started to "see" these things. I could tell where the light was coming from, what the story of the photo was, and what equipment was used to create the photo.

The reason why I love photography is because you can become your own author. Illustrate your story with your photo. You can be creative, plain, flamboyant, etc. It becomes our story, our photo.
