Sling is great for light gear like MFT, if you bring D700 + 70-200 VR II + flash I think you need to save your back.

Michael, A sling attached to the camera tripod socket that goes across the chest as a replacement for the neck strap that comes with the camera. The design is based on a modern rifle sling. Black Rapid, Optec USA and others make them - I like the Luma Loop, LoopIt or you can make your own with climbing webbing. Most designs have a quick release making it easy to remove the camera from the sling to work on a tripod. A sling bag isn't very flexible in my opinion and the arm sling is best left in your first aid kit!
