The Leica M-D Has No Screen
If you had a good chuckle at last week’s announcement of the Leica M-D, you’ll appreciate this little clip from The Office.
Yes, for $6,000 you too can have a digital rangefinder with no screen.
Purists might claim that we didn’t have screens in the film days, but I would remind those people that we’re not living in the film days, AND the camera is digital. Here’s a free suggestion: cover your screen with a piece of tape.
Honestly, I think it’s a great idea.

I thought it was a smart move. I hardly ever use my screens except to dig deep into menus.
