How do they like to be pitched and what common mistakes do they see photographers make? What personality traits can make or break a working relationship? In this conversation, moderated by Clinton Cargill of Bloomberg Businessweek, we’ll get answers from photo editors and directors at Mashable and Procter & Gamble, plus a photo rep who helps photographers lock these jobs down.

Panelists:

Moderator: Clinton Cargill, Director of Photography, Bloomberg Businessweek and Bloomberg Pursuits

Get answers to questions like: What are some common deductions I can take? Can I write off my new lenses? Do I need a separate bank account? What tax status should I claim? Zelin will also walk you through ways to get up to speed with your financial life. Come ready to take notes and get excited for a surprise at the end…

6 pm – 7 pm: Peer Review Happy Hour

Bring your portfolio, book or iPad, grab a beer, and get ready to get and give some unbiased feedback on your and your peers’ portfolios in this informal peer portfolio review event hosted by us. Think of it as a portfolio review without the pressure of being in front of a potential buyer – or like speed dating for photographers! You’ll give your feedback on a few portfolios, you’ll get some on yours, and we guarantee you’ll walk away with some new ideas – and feel good about helping out fellow photographers. What’s better than that? The event takes place in the Photoville Beer Garden – and the first drink is on us.

Register for the full day pass below and we’ll see you there.
