@johnny – great snow/frost image. Really nice light on that one. @wayfaring – cool stuff. I like the one where the snow is falling on the dried flowers. it’s like a snow action photo! @Doreen – that looks like one cold bus stop (image #3). @Gabriel – now I bet THAT was an interesting day in the studio! @Jack – That first one looks like it should be on a greeting card. Nice. @Darren – let me guess. School was canceled that day?! @Guralnick – How are you, dude?! I totally love the graphics in that photo. Reminds me of Michigan for sure. @Grayspace – nice selection of images- from wide to close-up. Way to work the scene! @viveca – those look very dream-like. How did you get that effect? @Randy – everything you shoot turns to gold, dude! Thanks for your contributions… love them all!

@Grover: Glad you think my images look dream-like, it’s the effect I was after! I added a texture layer to each photograph, and then selectively removed parts of it using a layer mask in Photoshop.

It is inspiring to see so many amazing images. I would like to add one more that has a special meaning to me. It was a beautiful clear night during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games when me and my partner decided to go catch the sunrise in top of Grouse Mountain. The views and atmosphere was surreal. The image posted is the last one of that early winter morning. Minutes after, my partner had a very tragic accident. She slipped of the icy snow and dropped down 200 FT in a deep crevasse. Like a miracle she survived the accident without any broken bones! I am wishing everyone a prosperous and safe 2011. http://gabrielmorosan.photoshelter.com/gallery-image/Vancouver-west-coast-life-style/G0000Ea5hAIexNKw/I0000zkuskl4ZG14/P0000kWx8FJF85oE

@innis – Love the all the snow photos with dogs. Also, ice pavement is damn cool as well. @Paul – I wonder how horses like the snow. They act like it’s no big deal, just standing out there. @Mackie – wow. those are cool. love the black and white going on. Also, your website looks sweet, too. @francois – hey, cool! how convenient for a helicopter to buzz by like that for you. makes a great element in the frame. @Harold – light-painted snow — great idea. You pulled it off nicely. @Russell – thanks for sharing – (and thanks to Pam for shooting!) @Dru – that’s a view of the speedway that nobody ever gets to see. Imagine if they were out there racing in the snow? ha. @Gabriel – really stunning colors in the photo – but wow, the story behind the image is scary. Glad everyone survived! @Ryan – that photo is amazing on many many levels and layers. I could see that hanging on my wall. Love it! Where was that shot? @Justin – you seem like a natural in the snow! Lots of good stuff there.
