“You wanna stay home and watch TV? Noooo. I want to be out there seeing the real deal. Images are so powerful that they can change the course of people’s lives.”

Lynn Johnson‘s incredible documentary work has graced the pages of National Geographic, Sports Illustrated, LIFE and more.  One of her latest projects, Blast Force, is a series of portraits of veterans who have suffered blast force injuries. As a form of art and psychological therapy, the soldiers make masks to cope with the trauma of injury.

If you’re in New York between Sept 10 – 20, 2015, stop by Photoville and see Lynn’s project in person.
