The legendary Rich Clarkson recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of his Photography at the Summit Nature Workshop in Jackson, WY. The program brings together a range of photographers – from amateur to pro – who are looking to improve their nature and wildlife photography under the tutelage of faculty like Tom Mangelsen, Jim Richardson, Dave Black, Bob Smith, MaryAnne Golon and more.
The participants gather in the auditorium at the National Museum of Wildlife Art for a daily photo critique, and each day, they are treated to the insight, biting commentary and humor of the great William Albert Allard, who for five decades, has been producing stunning imagery, most notably for National Geographic magazine. On the last day of this year’s workshop, we mic’d Allard in hopes of capturing some of the magic. Here are the results.
