  • Specialty and background: Karlo King began photography in his last year of high school. His first “real” camera was his dad’s old 35mm Pentax ME Super. He played around with it for a few years and consistently shared his photos online. From word of mouth, he was offered a photography job at two nightclubs in his hometown. Unfortunately, a film camera wouldn’t cut it so he saved up and purchased his first DSLR. He shot nightclub photography for about a year and moved on to work graduate photography at University of Guelph. After another year he realized that he wanted to hone his craft so he applied to the Creative Photography Still and Motion program at Mohawk College. During his time in school he’s been able to explore various styles of photography and videography. He’s currently in his last semester and after he graduates he plans to specialize in event and commercial shoots, however, his biggest dream would be to work as a DOP on films.
