Specialty and background: Roland Pugh is a Non Profit Communications Director and Senior Staff Photographer specializing in photojournalism. After leaving a 10 year career in finance, Roland started working on various local and international freelance projects and even had a brief stint working at Apple 5th Ave. Roland returned to school in Fall of 2010 to pursue his masters degree at New York University within the School of Professional Studies. Today Roland holds an MA in Graphic Communications Management and Technology from New York University with a BS in Mathematics from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va. As a visual storyteller his assignments have taken him to Ghana, Togo, South Sudan, Israel, Singapore, Jakarta, Peru, Guatemala & Australia.

Betka is a self-taught photographer. She began shooting around 5 years ago in a small studio in Hungary and has since moved to Iceland where she continues to shoot and do freelance photography work. She primarily focuses on portrait work with an emphasis on colors and emotions. Lately she has been photographing Iceland based weddings, working with designers as well as taking pictures for her travel company.

Specialty and background: Shamarke is 22 and from Toronto. The minute he had access to an iPhone 3G, he was taking pictures constantly—although he didn’t take it seriously until 2014 when he purchased his first DLSR, and it changed his life entirely. He specializes in portrait work currently, but is trying to be as diverse as possible, doing a little bit of everything well. He did not attend school for photography, but picked up tips and tricks from photographers he looks up to via youtube tutorials.

Specialty and background: Matt Graves is a Northern Colorado-based photographer. He photographs food, beverage, product, and most things related to beer and brewing. Photography has been a part of his life since receiving his first camera at 8 years old. He started out studying Fine Art before going to school for commercial photography. Those experiences influence his work today as he aims to create photographs that are clean, direct and honest. Matt’s goal is to boil an image down to its elements to create something more potent. He believes the best work comes from listening to and collaborating with each client to realize their vision.
