We’re doing something new and are pretty excited to tell you all about it. For the first time ever, we’re assembling something called The List. This will be an exclusive list of the top photographers on PhotoShelter, representing every major photo category.
Here’s our CEO Andrew with the rundown on why you should apply.
The incentive is pretty cool. This final list, determined by a panel of judges, will be sent to hundreds of creative directors, marketers, and social media managers in our Libris community. Libris is our digital asset management platform used by large brands and organizations worldwide — all organizations who know the power of great photography.
Photographers will also be featured (with permission) on PhotoShelter’s Instagram account throughout 2018.
Our judges include Melissa Lyttle, President of NPPA, Alison Zavos, Editor-in-Chief of Feature Shoot, Clinton Cargill, Director of Photography at Bloomberg Businessweek, Brian Cason, Content Manager at Moment, and Kari Anderson, Senior Artist Representative from Glasshouse Assignment.
These judges will select five finalists per every major photo niche. They’re looking for:
- A tight and consistent PhotoShelter portfolio. Is your specialty clear?
- Great photography. Do your images have a strong point of view and style?
- Your pitch. Why should clients hire you?
We know one of your biggest challenges is finding new clients, so our goal is to get you in front of brands and organizations who work with photography everyday. It’s a new experiment in bringing our member communities together.
You have until Tuesday, December 5th at 11:59 pm ET to apply — and remember only PhotoShelter members will be considered. If you’re not a member, sign up here and get 10% off.
The final list will be announced in early 2018. Good luck!
