Jeff Bridges work is indeed wonderful. Check out the photography of Canadian rocker Bryan Adams. He is very, very good. His portraits of Amy Winehouse are exceptional. With regard to Lenny Kravitz, he is an admirer of the work of the late Jim Marshall and they became good friends. I think his scuffed up designer Leica was inspired by Jim’s cameras. Totally agree on Beckham’s kid. The whole thing is just offensive. Another similarly annoying one is comedian Drew Carey, who used his celebrity to get US Soccer to give him a coveted press credential to photograph the FIFA World Cup in Germany.

I should have also mentioned Lyle Lovett who studied journalism in college and is a serious photographer who does nice portraits and documents all the venues where he performs on his Instagram account.

As as a celebrity being recognized as a great photographer, it boils down to who do you know. Celebrities taking pictures of other celebrities and being lauded for it is hardly rocket science.
