Holiday Gift Guide: 2020 Print Sales

Like everything in 2020, holiday shopping looks different this year. Gone are the days of rushing into a crowded department store to purchase last minute gifts in a panic. Instead, this year UPS and FedEx are in hyper drive to get online gifts delivered just in time for the holidays. 

For the next few weeks, we’re sharing some of the photo-related gifts that have caught our eyes. From print sales to gifts under $100 and recommendations from some of your favorite all-star photographers, there’s something for everyone.

2020 print sales we love

Prints for Nature

Created by Ami Vitale and her team, Prints for Nature features donated prints by over eighty of the world’s top fine art and nature photographers who work to protect people, wildlife and the environment. 100% of net proceeds will support core Conservation International initiatives. 

Featuring photos by Joel Sartore, Jimmy Chin, Annie Griffiths,Charlie Hamilton James, Danielle Zalcman, Jody Macdonald and Ami Vitale herself. 

All prints are 11″x16″ and $275. Don’t wait! Sale ends Thursday December 10th.

Update: Due to popular demand, the sale has been extended. Prints are now available until December 19th.

Diversify Photo Holiday Print Sale

Co-founded by industry leaders Andrea Wise and Brent Lewis, Diversify Photo never ceases to amaze us. With a community of over 800 BIPOC and nonwestern photographers it’s honestly impressive they’ve narrowed this sale down to 55 photographers. 

Featuring the talents of Salgu Wissmath, Lisa Weatherbee, Jimena Rodriguez Romaní, Prarthna Singh, Abban Felicia, Gabriela Hasbun, Gili Benita and more. With so many photographic styles represented, this sale is a must-see. 

Net proceeds will be shared 50/50 between the artists and Diversify Photo to support their future programming and operating costs. 

All prints are 8”x10” and $65. If you’re looking for a gift for that young hip creative in your life, they’ve got you covered. 

The W. Eugene Smith Memorial Fund 2020 Print Sale

Known for giving out grants and supporting unique independent voices, the W. Eugene Smith Memorial Fund is hosting their first-ever print sale this year. 

Featuring photos by Stephanie Sinclair, Robin Hammond, Sian Davey, Andrés Cardona, Yael Martínez, Edmund Clark and more. You have 57 photographers’ work to choose from.

The sale’s net proceeds will go towards their 2021 grant cycle.

All prints are 11”x14” and $150. This sale is perfect for the photographer who loves discovering new talent and appreciates the power of great visual storytelling.
