Giving Thanks: What We’re Grateful For This Year

This year, we’re incredibly thankful for our wonderful creative community found all over the world, as well as our own team here at PhotoShelter, for always sharing a positive outlook and an uplifting mindset. Thank you all for inspiring us. Your resilience and passion for your creative work keep us going every day.

Meet some of our team below and read on to learn about what we’re grateful for this year. What are you thankful for? Tag us on Twitter or Instagram (@photoshelter) and let us know!

Andrew F. (CEO)

Now more than ever, I am grateful for good health, sharing several recent life milestones with my family and close friends, and a Thanksgiving moment to slow down and enjoy being together.

Yoav G. (Director of Revenue Marketing)

I’m grateful for my wife, family, dogs, friends, and colleagues, who all come together to create and provide meaning and purpose in my life.

Larissa G. (Content Marketing Manager)

I’m grateful for my health and my loved ones’ health this year. I’m grateful for the warm love from and for my cats and my partner and for the ongoing growth I get to experience through collaborating with my new PhotoShelter peers!

Scott F. (SVP of Marketing)

I am filled with deep gratitude for the love of my family, who are so understanding, loving, and always fun to be around. I am also thankful for my group of good friends that I have shared incredible times with this year and created memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life. And I am grateful to the brilliant scientists who developed the miracle vaccines that have allowed us to get back to some version of “normal life” over the past year. This photo is a nice reminder of what that can look like. My wife, son and I enjoyed a fantastic evening session at Arthur Ash during the US Open this Summer…something that felt like an impossibility a year ago!

Caitlyn E. (Community Marketing Manager)

This year I’m especially grateful for my friends, my health and the great outdoors. After such a tough 2020, 2021 has felt like a bit of a rebirth. From seizing every opportunity to spend time with vaccinated friends, spur of the moment trips out of town and even things as simple as going on runs in my neighborhood, it all feels like such a treat.

(I’m also extra grateful to have a bigger Thanksgiving this year, since that means more pie and veggie sides!)

Kathy C. (CTO)

I am grateful for my Mom. She sacrificed so much to give me the courage and confidence in life and a way to see the world. I am grateful for my family: they keep me laughing and are all in with life, sports and fun! I am grateful for my health, and ability to challenge myself in Work and Sport.

Rachel R. (Director of Member Marketing)

While 2021 was more or less still 2020 for many of us, I’m so grateful I was able to spend time with my family and friends in person this year. I’m also super grateful – as always! – for my wonderful colleagues at PhotoShelter, a beautiful bunch of smart and talented people I am so lucky to know. It’s truly a privilege for us to support the photography community and some of the most amazing brands and creative teams out there every day. Cheers to my family and friends (at home and at work!) and all of our incredible members and clients, near and far!

Malik D. (Junior Frontend Engineer)

I’m extremely grateful for PhotoShelter and all of my colleagues. I made a career shift from sales to tech this year and PhotoShelter gave me the opportunity to fulfill my dream of becoming a software engineer. This is an amazing company with equally amazing employees and I couldn’t be more grateful to be a member of this family!

Jeremy B. (Social Media & Content Marketing Specialist)

I always find myself feeling grateful for the wonderful people I have in my life. The genuine group of friends I’ve surrounded myself with over the years is super special, and I’m always thankful when I meet new people that I click with too! Although my immediate family isn’t all in one state anymore (NJ), I’m forever grateful for my close-knit family.

Kristine M. (SVP of Customer Success)

Science! I’m grateful for the ability to get vaccinated and now see friends/family/coworkers responsibly.

Anne C. (Technical Support Team Manager)

I am incredibly grateful for the covid vaccine allowing me to (finally!) celebrate my marriage alongside family and friends after postponing our original wedding in 2020.

Eden S. (Office Manager & Executive Assistant to CEO)

I’m grateful for all of the supportive people in my life – bosses, friends, my partner. Even while experiencing so much loss, I’m reminded that I have people who care for me and want to see me succeed and thrive – and I feel the same way about them! 🙌

Ricardo C. (Front End Engineer)

For the opportunity to join PhotoShelter, it’s been a refreshing change in my life, not just professionally. I am really happy that I took this chance and grateful that it appeared for me, also for all the help from the team getting started these few months.

Also this year my pup had her first birthday! Her name is Bimba 🙂

Rachel B. (Event Producer)

I am grateful for the health of my family, including my baby boy who will make his debut in March 2022! I am also thankful to work for an incredible organization who truly values their employees, and of course my amazing co-workers who make coming to work fun!

Michele G. (Controller)

Every single day, I am thankful for my two sons. They have taught me what it is really like to love unconditionally.

Horus S. (Backend Engineer)

I’m grateful for some big changes, and being brave enough to accept new challenges. Even though it was a really dark year for me, I’m grateful to keep myself growing.
