When I was younger, I loved getting some new electronics and then spending hours figuring it out. But when I purchased a new flat screen TV last year, I hired an AV expert to install it for me reasoning that 1) there’s too many cables, remotes and standards to worry about and 2) I’d rather be doing other things with my time than crawling around trying to get the TV to work.
In this instance, the decision was a quality of life issue. Could I have done it? Sure. Should I have done it? No way.
That sentiment is what led us to create the PhotoShelter Certified Consultant program last year. We realized that PhotoShelter has become a pretty big application with lots of different features from print sales to photo walls to manually customizing your website. If you’re busy running your photo business, you probably don’t want to watch me walk you through 20 hours of instructional videos.
So we’re psyched to expand the program with new consultants as Grover pointed out last week. And we thought we’d give you a few examples of their work, so you can better understand the value of working with one of the certified consultants.
Mike Cavaroc starts us off with his newest website implementation for nature photographer Tom Weidemeyer. He has a cool arched navigation that plays with the “T” in Tom’s logo, which sits above a Photo Wall.
Finally, St. Louis-based concert photographer Todd Owyoung brings a wealth of knowledge to the table for integrating WordPress blogs with your PhotoShelter site. Not only that, Todd has built an entire secondary revenue stream by amassing quite a following for his equipment reviews which link to various retailer affiliate programs. In other words, he might be able to give you some business advice too.
Don’t let the excuse of “not enough time” prevent you from getting the most from your PhotoShelter site. The certified consultants can make your online presence hum. Hire them today!
