Name: Tarynn Liv Parker

Member since: August 12, 2016
Location: British Columbia, Canada
Specialty and background: Very much a product of the Okanagan terroir, Tarynn Liv Parker was born and bred in the Okanagan. Although she spent a decade abroad living in New York, Paris, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Vancouver—wearing the hats of yoga teacher, designer and photographer—she has always returned home to the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada where she now resides in a lakefront cottage on Okanagan Lake in Summerland, BC.

Tarynn has been a photographer and graphic designer for nearly 20 years. Of her recent accomplishments, some are best encapsulated in her British Columbia publication called The Field Guide, a website that journals on life in the region through photography and writing. She has written, designed and supplied photography for two books, “Okanagan, A Celebration Of The Canadian Wine Region” and “The Spirit Of The El”, a history and lifestyle book chronicling one of British Columbia’s most storied heritage properties, The Hotel Eldorado, in Kelowna, BC.

Her photography and creative pursuits are by no means limited to the culinary world but have maintained a strong focus there, apparent in her own training as a certified sommelier and through the study of holistic nutrition and deep interest in cultural heritage food ways of the world.

Tarynn’s life long practice of yoga and her study of the esoteric arts and sciences through eastern and new age perspectives are intrinsic, they are ‘the filters on the lens’ for Tarynn’s way of perceiving her photographic interpretations of life.
